When you break someone’s heart, do not add insult to injury by saying “I want us to be friends” or something to that effect. It’s like some weird consolation prize that the person does not want at the current time, specially if the person did not expect the heart break… while friendship is noble & quite possible, let that be initiated by the heart breakee when the wounds have healed & calloused. For now respect that the person doesn’t want to have anything to do with you at all.

And to those who got their hearts broken, thinking & trying to figure out what the heart breaker’s reasons were will get you nowhere, the simple fact is that they did what they did & it is done… the sooner you move on & grow up, the better : )
